The Aruba Instant On 1430 Switch Series is a series of plug-and-play, unmanaged switches designed for small businesses requiring simple, reliable, and affordable network connectivity. These easy-to-use switches offer cost-effective Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switching capabilities, allowing you to connect and share common resources such as printers and access points without complicated network configuration. With plug-and-play operation, fully automated features, zero ongoing maintenance, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) models, these switches offer simple, reliable connectivity for SMBs and small home offices.

Unmanaged Ethernet connectivity for small businesses
- The Aruba Instant On 1430 Switch Series is a series of unmanaged Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switches ready for deployment in seven models in PoE and non-PoE configurations: one (1) 5-port model, two (2) 8-port models, two (2) 16-port models, one (1) 24-port model, and one (1) 26-port with 2 SFP uplink models.
- With PoE models, up to 30W of PoE power delivery is available for Class 4 PoE devices such as access points, surveillance cameras, and VoIP phones. The 8- and 16-port PoE models feature a power budget of 64W and 124W, respectively, to support the latest IoT devices.
- Two dedicated 1G SFP fiber ports in the 26-port model can be used for uplinks and to support long-distance connectivity using fiber optic transceivers, for a total of 28 Ethernet ports.
- Aruba Instant On Limited Lifetime Support includes 24/7 phone support for the first 90 days and chat support for the entire warranty period. Community support is provided for the life of the product.

- Unmanaged PoE models offer fully automated support for powering compatible IP phones, video surveillance cameras, or wireless access points.
- No configuration is required other than installing the optional 1GbE SFP transceivers on the 26-port model to extend connectivity with gigabit fiber.
- Installation flexibility with support for desk top, under-desk, wall and rack mount options (varies by model).
- Simplified cabling automatically adapts to straight-through or crossover cables on all 10/100/1000 ports using Auto MDI/MDI-X.
Energy efficiency and traffic optimization
- The Aruba Instant On 1430 Series Switches support Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) functionality and are compliant with 802.3az standard requirements for power savings during periods of low data activity.
- All models are fanless for quiet operation in office settings or noise-sensitive environments and require less power to operate.
- Quality of Service gives time-sensitive packets (such as VoIP and video) priority over other traffic based on DSCP or IEEE 802.1p classification.
- Jumbo frame support offers up to 9216 bytes of frame size to improve performance of large data transfers.
- Flow control involves a throttling mechanism propagated through the network to prevent packet loss at a congested node.
