Supporting resolutions up to 4096x2160@60Hz with HDR (High Dynamic Range) to display high-definition 4K content with improved contrast and a wider color gamut, these cables are ideal for creating eye-catching advertising displays, innovative work environments and sports bars with immersive content, as well as next-generation home theater installations. Support for uncompressed multi-channel audio signals also allows for the addition of impressively realistic three-dimensional audio environments.
AMD Eyefinity technology support allows users to cost-effectively create non-standard-sized multi-display systems or ultra-high-resolution composite displays consisting of 3 or more displays. This feature also allows users to run multiple applications simultaneously on separate displays, increasing productivity or creating expansive displays for incredible gaming experiences.
Please note:
- Audio signal forwarding over HDMI is only supported when the graphics card in your PC or notebook supports Audio over DisplayPort. Several integrated graphics cards in notebooks, such as the Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset, do NOT support "Audio output over DisplayPort" even when HDMI (Intel High Definition Audio HDMI Service) support is installed for the audio controllers. In these cases, a separate audio connection must be used.
- Some recently released Nvidia drivers do not work properly at 4k@60Hz 4:4:4 resolution when converting from DP/mDP to HDMI and will only work at 4k@60Hz 4:2:2
