The D-Link DGS-1005P 5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Desktop Switch lets you connect Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices, such as access points (APs), cameras, and wireless IP phones, to your network. Designed with home or small business users in mind, the DGS-1005P is compact and quiet in operation, making it ideal for most rooms and offices.

Gigabit performance.

The DGS-1005P features Plug & Play installation and requires no configuration.
It supports Auto-MDI/MDI-X on all ports, eliminating the need for crossover cables when connecting to other switches. Auto-negotiation on each port intelligently adjusts port speed to match the connected device. With cable speed filtering and store-and-forward switching, the DGS-1005P maximizes network performance while minimizing the transmission of corrupted network packets.

Power Over Ethernet+

The DGS-1005P features four Gigabit Ethernet ports that support IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE, providing up to 30W of power on each PoE port and a total power output of 60W.

You can connect compatible devices to the DGS-1005P without using additional power sources. This saves on wiring and electrical costs and allows you to install devices in locations without immediate access to power outlets.

Green Technology

The DGS-1005P features green technology such as IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE), link status detection, and cable length detection.

EEE technology adjusts the switch's power consumption based on network usage, reducing power consumption during idle periods. Link state detection shuts down unused ports, saving power when connected devices are turned off or disconnected. Cable length detection adjusts port power output based on cable length, reducing the switch's power demand.

Compact and silent

Thanks to its compact design, the DGS-1005P can be placed virtually anywhere, even where space is at a premium.

The desktop format allows you to have everything you need to set up a new network or expand an existing one, and thanks to its fanless operation, it guarantees silent operation even in areas where silence is essential, such as workstations and conference rooms.
