This switch is designed to improve performance in SOHO environments such as small businesses and branch offices, providing the flexibility of 10/100Mbps connections. With 8 ports, including 4 Power Over Ethernet, the switch is also suitable for small workgroups. Powerful yet simple to use, it allows users to connect any port to a 10Mbps or 100Mbps node to multiply bandwidth, improve response times, and accommodate heavy workloads.
8 10/100 Mbps ports
The switch provides 8 ports, all supporting the NWay standard. The ports can negotiate both connection speed in 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX network environments, as well as full-duplex or half-duplex transmission modes. Four of these eight ports deliver up to 15.4 watts of power, for a total PoE budget of 52 watts, powering PoE devices such as access points, IP cameras, and IP phones.
Flow control
Flow control minimizes packet loss by sending collision signals when the port's receive buffer is full. Flow control is available in half-duplex mode.
