DESCRIPTION:

Condensate pumps remove water (condensation) that is created when an air conditioning system cools warm, humid air. The process begins when warm, humid air is cooled by a cooling coil in an air conditioner. As the air cools, moisture is removed from the cooler air and condenses on the surface of the cooling coil. This moisture, or condensation, is then collected by a water tank in the condensate pump. As the water level in the condensate pump tank rises, a float switch inside the tank is raised by the rising water. When the water level reaches a predetermined height, the float switch activates the pump motor. It then pumps the water out of the tank and into a drain pipe or hose. After the pump has discharged the water, the float lowers and signals the pump to turn off. Suitable for all voltages worldwide.
