Heat-reflective panels: what they are and how they work

Heat-reflecting panels are surfaces that have the specific task of reflecting the heat that reaches them. They are sheets of polyethylene coated with aluminium which, when placed behind the radiator, in the space between the brackets , block the hot air and prevent it from coming into contact with the cold perimeter wall and dissipating, but rather reflect it towards the internal environment.

It is possible to maximize the efficiency of your heating system, radiators , thanks to these thin, heat-resistant, fire-retardant , non-toxic panels.

The radiators' performance improves by approximately 10%, optimising the energy efficiency of the entire building and not just the individual apartment. Furthermore, the panel also works at low temperatures, spreading the amount of energy through radiation .

Polyethylene is one of the most common plastics. It is a thermoplastic resin with excellent insulating properties. It is versatile and appears as a transparent solid in its amorphous form or white in its crystalline form. It is inexpensive and has good chemical stability.
