D-Link DUB-H4 480 Mbit/s

The DUB-H4 is a 4-port hub that uses the new high-speed USB 2.0 technology to connect and share multiple peripherals to your computer. This hub, which can be used in both Windows and Mac environments, is designed to increase the number of USB ports available on your computer and connect mice, keyboards, external CD-R/CDRW drives, external hard drives, webcams, and all those devices and peripherals with a high-speed USB 2.0 interface.

Connection

The DUB-H4 hub is designed to quickly and easily connect up to 4 Type 'A' ports for connecting USB peripherals and one Type 'B' port to your computer or another USB hub for daisy-chaining all other USB peripherals. Automatically configurable without any operation during installation, the DUB-H4 can operate with both Microsoft and Apple Macintosh operating systems.

Compatibility and scalability

The DUB-H4 is certified according to USB 2.0 standards and is fully backward compatible with the previous standard and products designed for USB 1.1. This compatibility ensures maximum scalability when connecting new USB peripherals to your computer. All peripherals connected to this card's ports are automatically recognized. The hub will therefore be able to support both low-speed (12Mbps) and high-speed (480Mbps) peripherals on each individual port.

Installation

Diagnostic LEDs on the device allow you to view the status of the peripherals connected to the hub. The DUB-H4 package also includes a USB 2.0 'A' to 'B' cable for connecting to your computer and an external power supply.

Fast-charge

This hub has a “Fast-Charge” USB port that provides a higher current than all the others (1.2A) when in “Fast Charge” mode. This makes it perfect for quickly charging all those USB devices with batteries such as cell phones or tablets like the iPad.
