The Legrand UPS model Whad HE 1500 is an uninterruptible power supply with high-frequency PWM technology, On-Line Double Conversion type, passing neutral, Nominal Power 1,500 VA – 1500W, equipped with valve-regulated hermetic accumulator batteries, contained inside the UPS in a special compartment or in one or more external cabinets, sized to guarantee a minimum autonomy of 15 minutes at 80% of the load.
The UPS rectifier consists of a power factor correction (PFC) circuit, which, in addition to the normal rectifier functions, provides:
automatically correct the load power factor for
bring it back to a value >0.99 already with the applied load at the output equal

power the inverter without requiring energy from the batteries as well
in the presence of very low mains voltage (operation with

The bypass circuit is designed and constructed as follows:
Electromechanical switch
? Command and control logic managed by microprocessor that
provides for:
automatically transfer the load directly to the grid
primary without interruption of power supply, upon occurrence of
overload, overtemperature, DC voltage conditions
out of tolerance and inverter anomaly;
automatically transfer the load from the primary network to the line
inverter, without interruption of power supply, upon restoration of the
normal load conditions;
if the primary grid and the inverter are not synchronized the bypass
will need to be disabled.
In order to protect the batteries from damage caused by deep discharges, the minimum allowed battery voltage threshold varies automatically according to the applied load (default setting), while still allowing the user the possibility to select a
fixed voltage threshold management.
Diagnostic and shutdown software (UPS Communicator), if installed on a PC connected to the UPS, allows access to all operating data, adjustments and settings for special functions, and control of the shutdown of Windows and Linux operating systems. Optional software (UPS SuperviSor) allows hierarchical multi-server shutdown and remote UPS management.
