The DGS-1210 Smart+ Gigabit Switch series is the latest generation of D-Link Smart+ Switches with D-Link Green 3.0 technology. The series offers high levels of energy savings and efficiency, and also complies with the IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standard. It is certified IPv6 Ready, supporting IPv6 management and configurations to ensure protection after upgrading from IPv4 to IPv6. The DGS-1210-10P is an 8-port PoE Smart Switch, each of which can supply up to 30W. The DGS-1210-28P is a 187W PoE+ Smart Switch, featuring 24 PoE ports, with the first 4 ports each supplying up to 30W, compliant with the IEEE 802.3at standard. This design allows for greater flexibility in power allocation for a variety of devices with low installation costs.

This Smart+ Switch series is designed for easy management. All configurations can be made through a web interface, regardless of the operating system used. Furthermore, the web interface supports 10 different languages ​​for intuitive operation. During initial installation, the SmartConsole Utility automatically discovers all D-Link Smart+ Switches on the network, allowing administrators to quickly assign IP addresses and subnet masks. It also allows for multiple firmware upgrades at the same time, saving time. The most important SmartConsole Utility commands, such as downloading firmware or configuration files, are available in batch mode for operating on multiple switches at once.

Energy saving
These switches are capable of saving energy without sacrificing operational performance and functionality, all using D-Link Green 3.0 technology. Thanks to the Energy Efficient Ethernet standard, the network automatically reduces power consumption when traffic is low. For environments that do not fully support the standard, the DGS-1210 series offers advanced power-saving settings that include port shutoff and standby, LED shutoff, and system hibernation based on customizable profiles. Profiles can be applied to the PoE switch so that excessive power consumption is not consumed during non-use hours. At 2000 Mbps Full Duplex, the Gigabit ports provide high-speed data channels with minimal data transfer loss. Maintenance features include Loopback Detection and Cable Diagnostics. Loopback Detection is used to detect loops generated by a specific port and automatically shut down the affected port. The Cable Diagnostics feature is designed for administrators and customer service representatives and can quickly detect the type of error and determine the quality of the cable.

D-Link's innovative Safeguard Engine protects switches from flooding caused by virus attacks. The switches support port-based 802.1x authentication, which allows clients to authenticate through external RADIUS servers. Additionally, the ACL (Access Control List) feature increases network security and protects it by filtering invalid IP and MAC addresses. ARP Spoofing Prevention prevents intruders from sending fake ARP messages.
